This policy applies to purchases from Ovadia (trading as Ovadia Jewellery), 20 Hatton Garden, Holborn, London EC1N 8BA, VAT registration number GB 223657020. It does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
1. Ready-made jewellery bought online or by phone
If you buy a ready-made piece at a distance (online, by phone or by WhatsApp) you may cancel the order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it. Tell us in writing within that period and return the item within a further 14 days, unworn, in its original condition and packaging, with the certificate and proof of purchase. We refund the full price including standard delivery within 14 days of receiving the item back. Return postage is at your cost unless the item is faulty; we recommend insured, tracked delivery because the item remains your responsibility until it reaches us.
2. Ready-made jewellery bought in the showroom
Purchases made in person are not covered by the 14-day cancellation right. As a goodwill gesture we will exchange an unworn ready-made piece, or issue a credit note, within 14 days of purchase when it is returned in its original condition with proof of purchase.
3. Bespoke, personalised and altered pieces
Items made to your specification – bespoke designs, engraved pieces, rings made or resized to your finger size and jewellery set with stones you supplied – are excluded from the cancellation right and cannot be returned or refunded unless they are faulty. Once you approve a design and pay the deposit, work begins and the deposit is non-refundable.
4. Faulty items
All our jewellery is guaranteed against manufacturing defects. If a piece is faulty you may reject it for a full refund within 30 days of delivery; after that we will repair or replace it free of charge, or refund you if a repair is not possible. Damage caused by wear, accident, or work carried out by another jeweller is not covered, but we are always happy to quote for a repair.
5. Refunds
Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the returned item. Sale items bought at a distance have the same cancellation right as full-price items.
